This month, we’re proud to mark seven years under Dee Dee’s leadership—a chapter defined by continuous growth, a commitment to science-based care, and an incredible team that shows up every day for the dogs in our community. In this issue, we’re highlighting a few of the things that make Luckydog special: a Fourth of July celebration your pup won’t want to miss, a well-earned Canine Good Citizen title for our Dog of the Month, and a seasonal favorite from our retail shelves. Thank you, as always, for being part of the amazing Luckydog family!

7 Years with Luckydog: A Note from Dee Dee
This month marks seven years since I took over Luckydog. What started as a leap of faith quickly became a deeply personal mission: to raise the standard of care for the dogs in our community while creating a workplace where great people could thrive. Over the years, we’ve grown in ways I never could’ve imagined—thanks to a dedicated team, loyal pet parents, and a shared belief that dogs deserve more than the bare minimum.
A special shout-out to Stacey, who joined me on day 14 and has been a constant ever since—helping shape our positive training philosophy and supporting our team with heart and integrity. To Joci, who’s worn many hats over the years and built lasting relationships with so many of our clients. And to Jill, whose sharp mind and steady hand have helped bring new systems and ideas to life. This place wouldn’t be what it is without them.
And to our entire team, thank you for showing up every day with compassion, energy, and a genuine love for the dogs in your care. I’m also deeply grateful to the veterinary consultants and other professionals who’ve guided us over the years and helped shape the thoughtful, science-based approach we stand behind today.
We’re proud to be building our own employee training program—developed with the help of licensed and certified professionals—so that every dog in our care benefits from the most up-to-date, evidence-based practices. It’s just one more step toward our ongoing goal: to give dogs the safest, happiest experience possible, and to empower the people who care for them every day.
Thank you for being part of the journey. Here’s to year eight! 🐾

Dog of the Month: Shaina S.
Say hello to Shaina S., our July Dog of the Month! This one-year-old Golden girl has been part of the Luckydog crew since 2024 and is truly everyone’s best friend. She’s a fantastic playmate—especially to her regular pals Gertie C., Zoey T., and Chili B.—and brings positivity and playfulness to every group. From off-leash adventures and swim sessions to spa visits, Shaina is the ultimate social butterfly.
Most recently, Shaina earned her Canine Good Citizen (CGC) certification, a nationally recognized title that reflects her ability to demonstrate calm, confident behavior in a variety of real-world situations. This certification reflects the strong foundation of training and consistency she’s developed, and highlights her ability to navigate new situations with confidence and focus. We’re so proud of this accomplishment and thrilled to celebrate such a happy-go-lucky, joyful dog this month!
