As we head into the holiday season, we have a handful of updates to help you plan for December. From Christmas lodging and holiday hours to festive add-ons and a big achievement from one of our team members, here’s everything happening at Luckydog this month.

Holiday Hours Reminder
As we head into the holidays, here’s a quick reminder of our schedule.
We will be closed on Christmas Day, so our team can focus on caring for the lodging dogs spending the holiday with us.
We will be open for our regular hours and services on Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day
If you have any questions about bookings or holiday stays, feel free to reach out to us at bark@luckydogcare.com.

Holiday Lodging: Availability for Current Clients
If your dog will need lodging over the Christmas holiday or New Year's, now is a great time to reserve their spot. We currently have availability for existing clients, but this is one of our busiest times of the year, and we anticipate filling up.
If you’re planning holiday travel, we encourage you to book soon so we can welcome your dog for a comfortable, festive stay.
For reservations or questions, reach out anytime at bark@luckydogcare.com, or book here.

Add a Christmas Dinner to Your Dog’s Stay!
If your dog will be lodging with us on Christmas night, you can make their holiday extra special with our annual Christmas Dinner add-on. This homecooked meal is a staff favorite to serve and always a hit with the dogs spending the holiday with us.
The festive dinner features dog-friendly turkey, sweet potato, and green beans. We offer two portion sizes: one for dogs 30 lbs and under, and another for dogs over 30 lbs.

Celebrating Jill’s KPA CTP Certification
We’re proud to share that Jill has officially graduated from the Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partner (KPA CTP) program with her partner dog, Sunny. This program is grounded in science-based, force-free methodology and is considered one of the most comprehensive and respected training certifications in the field.
Becoming a CTP is a significant accomplishment that reflects months of study, hands-on training, and careful skill development. Jill’s work in this program will help to further strengthen the support we provide to the dogs in our care, particularly in areas related to learning, comfort, and low-stress handling.
We’re thrilled for Jill and grateful for the expertise she brings to the Luckydog team.

Dog of the Month: Charlie K.
Charlie has been part of the Luckydog crew for more than eight years, and his easygoing charm has made him a favorite among dogs and staff alike! In 2018, he met his best friend Spooky M. here. The two have shown up on the same daycare days ever since, rarely apart and always ready for a good time. He also loves spending his days with long-time pals Dodger P. and Toby G.
Affectionately called Chuckita, Charlie is known for his big smiles, dynamic zooms, and silly playstyle. He’s been a joyful constant in our community, and we’re thrilled to celebrate him this month!
